Former Skinhead undergoes surgery to remove his tattoos. Widner and his wife were members of two strong white power groups (National Alliance and the Vinlanders gang of skinheads respectively). They have now settled down and left the movement and are trying to make a better life for themselves.

Due to Widner's facial tattoos, he was shunned from job opportunities and the family sought a way to remove his facial tattoos. Thanks to a donor, Widner was able to erase the tattoos.

Thanks to my Race & Ethnicity class, I have come to wonder if it is possible to 'erase' notions of White Supremacy. Just because you leave a movement, start a modest life, and surgically remove tattoos, are there still remnants of racism? Actually...I know for a fact that there are. I personally believe due to our society and how the US was built...racism and especially White Supremacy pervades our daily lives and institutions. And so when I came across this article, I found the parallel of erasing reminders of white power interesting.

He looks good without facial tattoos.
